This is a Bible for your phone.
The whole of it, free, and free for good. No account, no password, no streak to keep, no one selling you anything. It works with the signal off, and nothing you write in it ever leaves your phone.
Most people who set out to read the Bible begin at Genesis and stop somewhere in Leviticus. So this one opens with the Gospels. You meet Jesus first, in the words of people who stood close enough to watch Him, and everything else opens out from there.
Then there is the part that still astonishes people who have read it their whole lives. Touch any verse and it will show you where else it lives. A promise made seven hundred years before Christ, and the morning it came true. A line from an old song, and the same line spoken from the cross. Some forty writers, on three continents, across about fifteen hundred years, nearly all of them strangers to each other, and one story running clean through all of them.
Prayers for the seasons when you cannot find your own words. The morning, the night, fear, sickness, forgiving someone who hurt you, and the day you decide to follow Him.
And guided meditations on the Word of the living God, for when you would rather close your eyes and be led.
The word alight means two things: to be set burning, and to come down and settle, the way a bird alights on a branch. At Pentecost it meant both at once. Tongues like flames of fire separated and came to rest on each of them.
This app is not the point. If it helps you open the Word, and then forget the app entirely, it has done what it was made for.
